Haa, horses are even harder to draw than humans. It's so hard to find the right balance IMO. Not that I tried *very* hard... :D
Thank you dearly. :) She was already old, so it was to be expected. Still quite tragic and sad... :S

i had the opportunity to draw from real horses once.
drew as much from them as i could till i burned myself out :)

not sure what more difficult? when it's expected or all the sudden?
it's all just part of life's cruel joke!

the black one (Linda I presume) does have a hell of a swollen back leg right there doesn`t she ?! they`re beautifull tho.. great shot !

yeah her feet is quite big, but it's not swollen, it's a leftover from an illness she had years ago. all 4 feet were as thik as this one...it was some lymphatic disease, lymphangitis I think. but the big leg never was a problem, and the swelling got smaller while training her, you just had to start slowly.
